This sends signals to the car computer concerning the position of the throttle for proper fuel regulation. Switch is easily adjustable while the potentiometer consists of a variable resistor making it difficult to adjust. Combination type varies depending on the design since some are adjustable while others are not.

One can easily check the throttle positioning sensor and conduct relevant adjustments. It can be done by unplugging the TPS, test for voltage and resistance and finally adjust it. The steps are straightforward and anyone can do it.
